Once Every...

Hello, People. I know I have been a lazy bum last couple of weeks. But, I can be. LOL. Race Week came and went. Working at the Hilton was very enjoyable, but considering it was supposed to be busy, I barely made $50 for the entire week. But, the day after they left, I made $350 in one day. I did however quit the Hilton afterwards. I got a call from someone and they offered me good pay guaranteed. I started working there and like it much better. I am back behind the front desk, guess that is where I am destined to be. The hotel is beautiful. Completely renovated as of last year. Today, I am throwing a housewarming party. Invited all my friends to swing by at their convenience and check the new pad out. It's also my traditional Leap Year party. I did go thrift shopping the other day with Charlie and I actually hit some good bargains at Big Lots and Dollar General. I got some essential kitchen supplies for about $20. Where if I would have gone to Walmart I would have paid around $35. The thrift stores didn't pan out with much for me other than a collander and a paper towel holder. I have racked up on craigslist though. I got a very nice small entertainment center for $10 and a brand new set of pots and pans for $10. I am very happy living alone. It is so enjoyable not having to creep around someone else. Going to bed whenever I want. Leave to toilet seat up if I want. LOL. I enjoy cleaning the house up as well. Keeping the hair that accumulate from Jerry is the hardest part. But it doesn't take anytime to sweep the place up. I fill the dishwasher up a couple of times a week. I have cooked more in the last 3 weeks than I have in the last year. Isn't that hilarious? I am off the next 3 days and I will get a video of the apartment uploaded on here. I will also walk down to Main Street and get some video of the bikes and action that goes on down there. Well, off to get ready for the party. Maybe I can get some good pics of the party as well. Have a great weekend. Peace out!

New Lease on Life...

Hey People. Hope you all are having a grand day. I sure am. Just an update on the move. It was all completed on Saturday. I signed the lease on Friday and the realtor was nice enough to give me the keys early. Jeff and I went to the Streamline to celebrate the occasion. I tell ya it was a nice feeling to get the keys to my own apartment. With that being said, I called work and asked if we could rearrange my schedule so I could get the move over with. They were very accomodating and let me have Sat, Sun, and today off. Fortunately, I had the power and cable scheduled to be turned on today. Without the internet, was all the motivation I needed to get the place completely set up. The power was already on, so that helped a good bit. Thanks to the help from Jeff, Rob, Missy, Danny, and Tex we got everything from Clay's house to the new apartment in about 2 hours. Fortunately I only live a half a mile away from his house. With the boys help we got the majority of the stuff packed up in totes unpacked in a matter of a few hours. With Missy's help I got the bedroom basically set up. We stopped working on the place around 730p. I believe I crashed for the night around 1030. I woke up on Sunday morning and did what I do best, which is bounce around the house and completed getting everything out of the totes and put in it's place. While doing everything, some of my friends stopped by for a visit. Everyone seems to love my bathroom because of the fixtures. Brian, Mike, and Chuck swung by during the early afternoon. By 7pm, I was completely finished. Got the projector and all the gadgets that go with it set up and in place. Greg and Jason came over from Deltona to have some dinner. Rob and Jeff joined us. We cooked 4 steaks and 2 chicken breasts on the big George Foreman that I have all at the same time. We made some macaroni and cheese, pasta salad, steamed vegetables, tossed salad, and I baked up some french fries. Dinner was splendid. After dinner, I put in my favorite movie since the boys haven't seen it. We were practically in tears pissing our pants. If you have never seen SORDID LIVES, then you must rent it or buy it....it will be one for your collection of best comedy. The boys left around 1am and of course I crashed. I must tell you that I am very excited about the apartment. I am glad I chose the one with no bedroom windows. My bedroom is nice and dark. The living room is small, but I have it arranged to make it a little bit more comfortable. My couch and loveseat are really too big for this small room. The kitchen is awesome because it has the bar in it. It is nice to chit chat with those in the living room and see them from the kitchen. I have plenty of cabinet space and the pantry is huge. There is a nice linen closet outside of the bathroom and it has a closet in the bathroom. It is where the air handler is and also the device that is my tankless water heater. It is supposed to save on electricity to not have to store hot water in the tank. I guess you can call it Hot Water On Demand. The laundry room is literally right around the corner from my apartment, along with the dumpster, and mailboxes. Well, I will post a quick video tomorrow of the place. I am about to hit the sack. Peace out!

Time to let the cat out of the bag...

Hey People. Hope you all are having a happy February thus far. I know I am. I am very excited. I am finally taking a step in life in a direction I have never even attempted before. I will be signing a year lease on my own apartment. I have never lived alone before. I have reached a point in life where I want to live alone without roommates. I want my own independence. Granted I have really had a bit of good luck with roommates over the past 14 years, but I think the last year slowly made me realize that I want to live alone. I found a completely renovated 1 bedroom apartment in a complex only 1/2 a mile away from my job. The building has sat empty since the hurricanes of 2004. It's on the ground floor. It has brand new tile all the way throughout, brand new maple cabinets, granite countertops, fancy fixtures, and it even has a dishwasher. I will be installing an alarm first thing for sure. It's sorta small but since I have downsized a good bit, I will not have too much to deal with. I have just enough furniture to make the place look good. Another feature I like about the place is that the bedroom doesn't have any windows. I have always enjoyed having a dark bedroom. I will be moving in by Monday. I figure it won't take me too long to get the place looked lived in. I gave Missy the infamous disco ball and I am trading with Brian to get rid of my disco lights. Where that phase in my life was lots of fun, this time I am going with a very simple but conservative look. Most everything will either be black or white with the exception of some silver and grays. I am going to make a trip over to Orlando and visit the IKEA store. I have my sights set on a new coffee table and some floor lamps and shelves. I am also looking into getting a new comforter set as well. Not exactly sure as of yet what my bedroom is going to look like, but I know it will look great. Also on the news front, I will be starting my part time job in a couple of weeks. I am going to be working part time at a very nice hotel making decent money. I figure that working 18hrs a week part time will almost pay my rent alone. That will give me plenty of extra money to work on my next project that I am trying to accomplish. That project is going to take a few months just to make sure that it is a wise decision. I will be sure to record a video of the new place and post it on here, if I can figure out how to do that. Well, 430am comes early, I am off to bed. Until next time, Peace out and have the best one you can have!
